HUBMASTER'S CHOICE FOR JUNE 1996

This page is dedicated to the HUBMASTER'S CHOICE. Each month, the HUBMASTER of ARIZONA'S WEBHUB selects a particularly informative and well-designed web page that either covers Arizona-related information, is administered on an Arizona-based server or is related to Arizona in some other way. This month's choice is:

Rock 'N Road

Rock 'N Road claims to be the largest, most extensive rock climbing site on the web. Author/Climber, Tim Toula spent years compiling the information for his latest book, Rock 'N Road: Rock Climbing Areas of North America. This site is a translation of the book detailing climbing information on more than 2,000 areas across every state in the U.S. plus Canada and Mexico. The web site offers much more than the book, including a useful search tool, clickable maps and the ability for viewers to add and update information. This is particularly helpful as access issues develop and as new routes & areas are established.

Any web developer will tell you that content is the key to a successful, lasting web site. Rock 'N Road has more content than one can browse in several sittings and it is poised to be the clearinghouse for climbing info on a national and perhaps a global scale. The site design is pleasing and the photos included are very high quality. Many were snapped by popular outdoor adventure photographer, Bill Hatcher, of Flagstaff, Arizona.

So have a look whether you are an experienced mountaineer, a gym rat or even if your biggest move is climbing out of your easy chair. Then drop Rock 'N Road a line if you agree that it is worthy of Arizona WebHub's Choice Site of the Month Award.
