HUBMASTER
of ARIZONA'S WEBHUB
selects a particularly informative and well-designed web page that either covers
Arizona-related information, is administered on an Arizona-based server or is related to Arizona
in some other way. This month's choice is:
AZventures in Hiking
claims to be the most complete listing of Arizona-related hiking links on the Web. Be that as it may,
the site does offer a large number of links to Arizona hiking sites helpfully
organized into ten different categories.
Perhaps of the most utility are the "Trail Information," "Hiking Clubs," "Park Information,"
and "Commercial Outfits" categories. In addition to these there are also "Grand Canyon Links," "Hike of the Week/Month,"
"Picture Sites," "Out There Articles", "Miscellaneous", and the site authors' own hiking journals. The
Out There articles are excerpted from the Tucson Weekly news magazine and the "Hike of the Week/Month" are
trail selections published off-site by the likes of Arizona Highways and Steward Trail Adventures.
The site is simply and sensibly laid out, if a little unattractive. Still, it delivers the substantial content it
promises and as such is worthy of notice.
